I realize you've always disliked her, but the fact is that she's the nominee. I wasn't a big fan, either, but she has handled this rollout like she's been doing it for 30 years. I'd say it's the best campaign rollout I've seen since I've been voting, and I'm in my mid sixties.
I think she's learned a lot, the hard way, working under Biden, who is a helluva a mentor in many ways. It shows.
It's bad politics to give interviews right now. Everytime trump talks, he steps in goo. Yesterday's presser was so bad that #trumpMeltdown is now the top trending Twitter hashtag. One video on Twitter showed him answering a question in a straight jacket.
The DNC hasn't taken place yet, either. They are still in the process of formulating their platform. She has no obligation to give an interview or press conference, especially since, as Lawrence O’Donnell has pointed out Trump hasn't either.
Trump lying at every single question is not a press conference. As O’Donnell pointed out, Trump did not answer ONE question. He merely spat out a lie everytime someone asked something. That's not a press conference.
If I was Kamala, I'd say, I'll give a press conference when he gives one, and make the media figure out what the hell she means by that.
The only thing I'm really concerned about with this election is the GOTV effort, and that seems pretty solid, thanks to a rejuvenated, and for once, excited base.
This has the makings of a blowout.
