I read an interesting theory that the attempted shooting would be tough on anyone that age, but especially someone with dementia. I've been up close to dementia and I see all kinds of signs in him, but I've never known someone with dementia who has been shot at, so I can't speak to the veracity of the comments I've seen about it.

But it makes some sense. What also makes sense, though, is that having Kamala as his new opponent is what has triggered his downward slide. The fact that Prosecutor Harris could take office may just be too much for him to bear.
