I never really thought about that but when I was a kid I really disliked this kind of movie. I was Alfred E. Newman all the way. I was Addams Family, not Munsters. Gomez was my hero because he blew up trains and stood on his head. I thought Mister Rogers was a sap.

I should have hated this movie as a kid. I loved it. That's a miracle by itself.
