I never noticed her really until I started watching Only Murders in the Building. I'd heard of her of course, knew she was famous, all that, but never paid attention.

She's adorable in that show. So when I saw an an article about her bio movie, which went in-depth to the challenges she's faced- that made me like her even more. I haven't seen that movie yet, and I don't know that I will - I will cheer her on but I'll hate the narrative of all the crap thrown her way.

Our celebrity-worshipping culture is bad enough. But then we tear them down. It's like a sport in America.

Honestly, I blame the celebrity worshippers as much as I blame the trolls. They're just people like the rest of us. They have beautiful moments that define them, and not so beautiful moments. But at the end of the day, we are all beautiful, and examining every pound and inch in the service of some kind of bizarre evaluation is a reflection of a very sick society.
