I have too much fun picking on the man who will soon be wearing orange jumpsuits everyday not to keep doing it, but thanks for the advice.
Easing off the fossile fuel rhetoric would have had zero impact on prices. Attacking oil companies for their relentless price gouging doesn't do any good, either.
The only way to stop rising fuel prices is to send a SEAL team to Moscow and take out Putin. That's not gonna happen, so the trick is managing the spike. He's done pretty well with it, actually. The government has been very proactive in attacking the supply chain issues, and we are starting to see ports clearing up.
It takes time for policy to affect prices.
Strangely, it takes about 30 seconds for oil companies to engineer a price rise at the pump after the per barrel cost of crude oil goes up, but it takes six months for the price to drop after the barrel price goes down. Strange, that.
Thanks for the read.
