I had an argument with someone in a group chat about this stuff. He's a Republican but not a Trumpster. Deaf ears, anyway.

I don't even know anymore how to get through to some of these people. I tried telling him that the kind of attitude immigrants bring to this country, such as the remarkable level of industriousness and determination, is something we need more of, not less. Again, deaf ears.

On a pub like this, I'd say we are largely preaching to the choir. How do we get these arguments heard outside of the echo chamber? I have no idea. But a good article, anyway.
