And remember, he is what he is. A centrist Democrat with deep, deep roots in the political and corporate community. There's really nothing wrong with that if that is how people have been voting for 40 years. Which is exactly what they have been doing, of course.
Who didn't know this about him when they voted for him as president? Sheesh, I consider us lucky that he got bit a little with the FDR/LBJ bug. That was a much bigger surprise than his little visit to Nantucket. Besides, he's old enough, maybe this was just an earworm for him the past few weeks and he had to act:
As an aside, the Medium algorithm is messed up. I know that many PS stories get "distributed" by Medium, yet they rarely show up in my emails. Instead I get crap like, "How I made $45,000 on Medium by showing Kardashian butt pics." I NEVER click "how to make money on Medium" articles. Never. Why am I getting those instead of PS stories?
