I don't know how much real impact this will have statistically. I live in Atlanta, and my guess is that this effort will backfire.

The Black vote is historically unmotivated (for good reason). This has been changing the last few elections.

From a personal observation standpoint, I know a couple of Black folks well enough to know that they are completely plugged into the political scene. They listen to podcasts, and one lady I know was listening to an Atlanta GOTV podcast every day.

So think about the optics here.

These intellectually deprived white legislatures react to this latest election by trying anything they can to stifle the vote. I don't think they cancelled the voter registration by drivers license, though. And I am pretty sure the bill got watered down so that weekend voting hours are still pretty long during early voting.

I'll need to look into that. I know they were trying to push out Sunday voting, but I don't think they did. That was a big deal here.

But it doesn't matter. People still look at it as voter suppression and it motivates them.

Sorry, my comment is possibly longer than your post. But the Confederacy pisses me off.
