I didn't think he came off as angry, just passionate. The whole angry black man trope is a myth, anyway, created by white oppressors. Blacks have been incredibly patient, and still are, during this 400 year effort at finding respect.
I loved how Dr. West talked about the beauty and richness of black culture.
The evidence and testimony in this trial seems pretty overwhelming towards a conviction. I would expect nothing less than bedlam if it doesn't happen.
But here's a question. What if there is a conviction?Will the cops just return to "normal", thinking that the conviction was an aberration?
Of course, I want the conviction, but I do wonder if it will also help give white Americans who care about this stuff an opportunity to put the issue aside for "more important things."
