I could go on and on regarding this topic. In fact, I have, in my pub Radical Christianity, where I take some pretty deep dives. They're easy enough to find here on Medium if you're interested (and I assume you are or you wouldn't write about it!).

The gist of it much of it is that:

Atheists are among the most moral people we know. Maybe they just don't need salvation, because they already have it. There's a reason they are disgusted by Christian hypocrisies. It's their moral compass, which spins around crazily whenever a Christian opens their mouth. I don't believe in a God who is a monster who picks and chooses based on your belief. That's just a ridiculous proposition. Christians like to say that Jesus said, "Worship me or burn." Nonsense. All he asked of us was to seek out the truth of forgiveness. He said nothing about ultimatums or burning in hell. He merely pointed out that it's the path to a more peaceful mortal existence. He's basically telling us that it's easier to hang on for dear life during this traumatic existence when we're nice to each other.

There is almost nothing being preached or taught by modern Christians that was taught by Jesus. It's all a scam. Seriously, all of it.

Some of the answers regarding the Holocaust can be found in writing by those who survived it. There are a couple of amazing spiritual books that rose from it, but the names of those books escape me right now. There's always the classic Man's Search for Meaning, written by a survivor, Viktor E. Frankl, who surely must have felt abandoned by God during various moments of his trials in a camp. It's told from the Jewish perspective, but it'll do. Trust me, Viktor didn't end up in hell.

I am the same as these two guys — I find humor in everything, and my humor can get pretty dark, which can lead to trouble. Those are two of my favorite comedians, so I'll need to check out that episode.

Neither of them are going to hell either. If there's such a thing as a devil (I doubt there is), he wouldn't deserve to have them around adding their mirth to his domain.
