I can't help but think background checks would be used to somehow limit Black ownership of guns, and I'm sure that if something is passed by Congress, there will be clauses in there to do so, and if not, loopholes will be found by racists to entrap Black folks.

However, nobody, anywhere, needs high capacity magazine weapons. And possessing them doesn't help the Black community, it just gives the police an excuse to add more weapons to their own arsenal. Remember when cops all carried six shooters? Now they are armed to the teeth. The police have been militarized since the 1970s to the point that they have become local armies.

An outright ban on high capacity magazine weapons, a ban that once actually used to exist, applied across all races, creeds, and religiohs, is the only way to stop the out of control gun violence we see.

Their only purpose is to waste people.
