But the thing is, we need to get people to understand that taxes pay for stuff we need. Some of that is helping people (like the Biden stimulus/relief package for starters - but a lot more can be done).

If I'm getting $1,000 more back from Uncle Sam but the whole country is in the toilet, how does that help me?
