I wonder if Obama had chosen a Black woman instead of Garland if the Kentucky Senator and Republican majority leader who probably keeps a white hooded robe in his closet for those special date nights with his wife would have risked not doing a vote for her.

I think he may have calculated that he better just let the vote happen. So it was a tactical error on that front, too.
