He knows perfectly well that none of these stories are true. It's all part of his stochastic terrorism. He believes if he keeps repeating lies that they will be believed by just enough people to make a difference in the election.

He's taking it too far but he is incapable of grasping that and his bumbling, racist running mate is playing along.
