Great stuff. One of the most fascinating aspects of the world's first civilizations is the bizarre way the emergence seemed to happen simultaneously (or very nearly so) in different parts of the globe. Why did, after a few hundred thousand years of roughing it in the woods (or steppes) the lights basically turn on all at once for humanity?
