Great article. I have a nostalgia for the days when everyone was on board environmental change (Nixon invented the EPA) , basic social welfare, and voting rights (Republican senators like Dirksen helped pass civil rights legislation).

Nostalgia doesn't have to be about a false premise. It can be about the hope we had in the 70s before Reagan came and successfully established the false narrative that big government is inherently evil.
