Good question! I guess that's one reason I enjoyed Michael Keaton's "Knox Goes Away," which in a different era might not have gotten my attention but is one of the few "now" movies around. And it touched on a very relevant topic, dementia (in a rather unique way).
It wasn't a great movie, but I did consider it a very good movie. I wonder if that's because I was just so happy that it was about modern life, albeit probably not a particularly realistic one.
