Good point. That's what the FBI did with Capone, who was a minor criminal in comparison to Trump.

They hauled him in for tax stuff, and piled on the charges later.

Now, it may be that is what is happening to Trump, too. Maybe the tax stuff is complicated by the sheer volume of documentation. I don't know since I'm not an employee of the two NY state offices that are digging into this mess.

But I'm sure that they want to have a pretty solid case before they indict. My gut says they are closing in on this, but my gut also said Trump didn't have a chance at winning the first election he won, so that's how much my opinion is probably really worth.
