FWIW, it will be difficult to bring a lawsuit to block Biden's plan because few (if any) entities have legal standing to bring suit. The usual suspects (Texas's attorney general, for example) have no legal standing in this. I suppose one of the loan servicing companies could try, but that would draw fury from the administration and I don't think they are harmed enough to bother.

But we live in a world where the GOP is hell bent on making everyone's life miserable. So the best thing to do is vote in the midterms so that debt relief can get enacted more formally through Congress.

This might also be a trial balloon to take measure of public sentiment.
