Diwali is such a great addition to the culture of the western hemisphere. When I worked at a big tech company, Diwali celebrants took over the place for a couple days with various fetes and celebrations. It was awesome. And, of course, it was a great time to sample South Asian food!

One year I even made some for a potluck celebration. And I even got a few complements for my lame efforts! :-)
