Dear Medium: Please Fix How Viewing Responses Works

How Responses work has been an issue for years — it’s an easy fix

and other Medium website important people.

Not long ago, I suffered a medical event that has messed my vision up something fierce.

When I visit the website and click “Responses,” after navigating to my alerts, it should be sticky. You know what that means, so I won’t explain.

Instead, the website returns me to the “All” section after I’ve navigated to one of the responses (love the new embedded responses, btw!). It should always be “Responses” if that was my last choice.

I was a web developer for major corporations. I could implement this fix in about twenty minutes, so I know it isn’t a resource issue (can you say, “callback?”).

I don’t know how compliant or non-compliant Medium is more generally regarding accessability, but for me, from a usability standpoint, this particular issue applies to anyone who gets a lot of responses. It’s just that it is a more serious problem for me lately because…
