Biden has been a pleasant surprise. But....

One huge missing piece to this - and it's important.

Taxes. I disagree that America is too poor to create the society it wants now. The U.S. needs to return to the tax tables of the 1960s -- without the loopholes this time. The dismantling of these tax tables is a BIG reason we are in the boat we are in.

There's plenty of money to go around, but the wealthiest are hoarding it. Look at the current resistance to Biden's proposal to get a wealth tax back into the picture. The mainstream press is already declaring it dead in the water.

The wealth class doesn't give in an inch ANYWHERE.

Just check out this article about NIMBY in Atherton, CA, as the wealthy class, including Stephen Curry, object to mulit-unit housing in their back yard:

The article isn't about taxes, but it is about how intractable the problem is, and the pervasiveness of the wealth class's resistance to any kind of change.

We need to change the tax tables to make things more equal, but Americans CONSISTENTLY vote against politicians who suggest it.

Why? Because deep down inside, y'all think you're gonna be the next rich king or queen on the block.
