At some point, doesn't a country that would allow Trump to get back to the presidency sort of deserve whatever it gets?

That's actually a question, not statement.

His minions are busy trying to circumvent the system and get placed into key local election roles while his enemies wring their hands (instead of doing the same thing).

The far right nationalists are the ones who seem politically motivated these days. Everyone left of, say, Ben Sasse, just seems tired and resigned to the destruction of the country, climate, and world.

Trump is representative of who we are, sad to say, as a nation. Aside from a few die-hards, most people have given up.
