As someone, even at my ripe old age, and despite plenty of personal trauma, who is a glass half full person, I am hopeful towards a future where, assuming Putin doesn't blow us all to smithereens in a fit of pique:

1) The Russian people depose the lunatic

2) The Foxified (great word!) begin to see through the lies their own propaganda network spills out as a result of their witnessing of Putin's actions

3) The Russian government is replaced by a more liberal, West European style democracy

4) The world economy roars back as it rebuilds Ukraine and Russia.

It's all very idealist, I know, and the elephant in the room is our own oligarchical system of capitalism, but a man can hope, right?
