As I understood the announcement on the change, those who publish less frequently will be given more consideration than previously if the writing is good, but I have no idea how that is measured or who measures it beyond a boost.

I was surprised Medium asked me to run a session on Medium Day, because my numbers are generally not that great -- I've been labeled a top writer a few times in various topics, and boosted several times, but I wouldn't classify myself as a high earner on this platform.

I was glad they showed an interest in the new methodology to reward quantity over quantity, but again, how is that quality measured? Humans, I suppose, somewhere.

I don't have time to write for Medium every day. I'm lucky to crank out one or two stories out per week. So the idea of frequency no longer figuring into the algorithm appeals to me.

Good to see that your numbers are rallying. I want everyone to do well.
