I assume you mean Pentagon. But you're simply agreeing with me here so what is the point of this conversation? I never said the Pentagon itself was competent. I think you just like to argue and complain about U.S. policy, which is fine, but there is no point preaching to the choir there.

My ORIGINAL point is that the U.S. armed forces, in terms of professionalism, the rank and file, is as good as it gets. Pissing on them might make you feel good, but it doesn't do much for your cause, which is generally on target.
