As for that awful Confederacy show, I'm glad people spoke up on that. Even if it was supposed to be a look into how things "might have been," it wasn't necessary. History has shown us enough, and the prison industrial complex is still maintaining, if not outright slavery, a system of confinement that is ruining lives and families.
