Agreed 100%, but I suspect any bill passed by Congress and signed by the President would be tossed aside by this SCOTUS, so it's very important that we have a landslide election this time around so that some fundamental changes can be made to how SCOTUS operates, whether that be term limits, packing the court, impeaching the corrupt Thomas and Alito, or whatever.
In the meantime, I understand why it wouldn't be brought up during an election campaign, although, on the other hand, it wouldn't be wise for Republicans to challenge the notion when their candidate is himself a felon.
