A comparable thing for men, if it happened, would be constantly getting tested if we looked at all like we were in physically good shape.

By that I mean if we look a bit buff in our tee shirt or tank top, we always get challenged to a fight. That doesn't happen, but it would be the only equivalency I can think of.

"Gosh, if I wear this tank top, am I gonna get accosted by three dudes looking to take me down?"

Doesn't happen.

I think it would suck to always be accosted for wearing something attractive. I've never known a woman who, if she's interested in me, hasn't found a way to show it (well, this happened when I was young, not so much now!).

A lot of dudes act like they are salesmen. They'll keep hitting on women until they get what they want. It doesn't matter if 99 out of a hundred give them the finger or roll their eyes or tell them to get lost. They really don't care. It's a numbers game.

To them, it is like closing a sale. You can tell them it's disrespectful until you are blue from head to toe, but they'll happily move on to the next prospect.
