30% or more of Americans want to live in a dictatorship now. They want security from whatever named enemy that the Republicans invent.

Today, China, tomorrow ___________.

And always people of color. Country of origin? Not important. Just ask the people in the Oklahoma internment camps we call "reservations."

It's not a uniquely American phenomenon -look at Duterte's popularity in the Philippines because of fear over rampant drug dealing - but it is a new one.

But it is only new because the people who want it see cracks in the white privilege foundation. As long as our "democracy" kept that foundation in place, those folks were happy.

And honestly, they would be neutered if American Democratic politicians had the courage to pass bills that actually helped people get out of poverty and build the potential for jobs that go beyond driving or doing warehouse work for Amazon.
